Our Oak Home Services in a Nutshell

Premier Oak Buildings design, manufacture and install oak frame buildings to the highest standards. We pride ourselves on our oak home services and we liaise with architects, contractors, project managers and directly with our clients to ensure that all of our builds run smoothly. We build many types of oak timber frames, including extensions, barns, new homes, pergolas, garages and stables. Using freshly sawn green oak and traditional methods, combined with modern materials we create structures that are built to last. Our residential buildings offer a full encapsulation system that provides a watertight watertight structure and also enhances U-values.

A home built from oak has a warm, surrounding feel that will last for many years. An oak framed home will offer character and personality to your build, allowing you the opportunity to add your own aspect and style. Premier Oak Buildings provides oak frame building solutions for a wide range of homes. We understand that choosing the right material for your new build home can be challenging. That’s why we source only the finest oak for new build oak homes.

Being based in the West Country, outbuildings are a common add-on to many homes. A lot of the time, outbuildings are neglected and turn into storage spaces, at Premier Oak we want to create the visually appealing, versatile, and useful outbuilding for you. From garages to garden rooms, we’ve got you.

An encapsulation system encloses system elements and their interactions from the external environment, and usually involves a system boundary (such as oak) that hides the internal from the external. At Premier Oak we design, build, and construct your encapsulation system. Throughout the design process, we use the same innovative software employed to design your oak frame as your insulated closed-panel encapsulation system. Our system has been designed to achieve high levels of insulation and airtightness, which will reduce the energy consumption of your home and lowering heating costs; which is essential in the current energy climate!

We have a wide range of oak frame extensions that can be used for many different purposes. Add real character to your home with an oak featured extension; it will add another element of character and modernisation to your home, making your home even more of a home! There are plenty of reasons to extend your home. You might want to turn a functional kitchen into a cosy space where everyone feels welcome. Or you may prefer to add a separate dining area. Perhaps more living space is your thing.

Face mounted glazing is a system that is designed to work with a structural oak frame. The process involves securing double glazed glass units to the outside of the timber via a system that offers flexibility in movement while maintaining an airtight, sustainable security blanket for your build. With our face glazing, every inch of your dream oak frame will be visible. Your double-glazed units will be fitted with flexible weather seals, allowing for that vital movement within the frame. Seasoned, oak capping and seals improve the thermal efficiency of your structure, which extends the life of your double-glazed units. Our experts can install your face glazing which will streamline your self-build process further, saving you both time and the need to work with multiple suppliers.

We have used our experience of building with oak along with our years of carpentry skills to build luxury Shepherds huts that provide warmth, shelter, and accommodation for all the family. We work to the same high standards as we do for all of our oak frame buildings and offer the same level of insulation, we install into the homes we build. If you are looking for the perfect retreat that will provide many years of happiness then look no further and give us a call to discuss your requirements.
