Oak frame garages

Our oak frame garages (as with all our oak frames) are manufactured off-site then brought to the site to be erected and can be finished with the exterior of your choice. From oak, larch, cedar, or sweet chestnut cladding we offer choices suited to you.

If you decide to choose a more contemporary look with modern materials then our frames can easily accommodate a brick, stone, or rendered finish.

Or maybe you are looking for a simple carport with open sides and a roof to protect your vehicle from the elements, adding character and style to your driveway.

Whatever your choice we are here to make this as simple as possible, with you every step of the way and with every turn of the wheel.

Double-storey garages are a further option with an external staircase to take you up to an office, guest room or a simple storage area. Adding a dormer window will allow light to flood the area and create the perfect picture frame from where you can sip your coffee and take in the views

We offer single or multiple bay garages with open fronts or ledge and brace doors for added security. We can assist in the design of your garage adding features unique to you making your garage as individual as you are.

Do I need planning permission to build an outbuilding?

Outbuildings are often considered ‘permitted development’ – meaning that formal planning permission is NOT required from the Council before building begins. There are however some rules and regulations you need to follow.

Generally, planning permission isn’t required unless you intend to construct something over 2.5 metres tall. Outbuildings such as garages and sheds can be constructed at heights up to 2.5 metres. In most cases, however, you don’t need permission to build anything less than 2.5 metres.

You might also need planning permission if you plan to extend your house or convert it into flats. In some cases, you might need planning approval if you want to change the use of a building.

Don’t worry though, as applying for planning permission is a fairly straightforward process. Our team can guide you through the application process and answer any questions you may have along the way.
