Back to the Grind: Embracing Challenges with a Smile
As we return after the Easter break the familiar sound of hammers and the scent of fresh oak fill the air at Premier Oak Buildings. Stepping back into the workshop, we won’t pretend it’s easy – the sun seems to have taken a holiday of its own, leaving us with grey skies and a reminder of the chill outside.
Adding to the challenge, we’re a knight short in our timber framing roundtable. Yes, one of the team members is still basking in the holiday sun!
This week marks the beginning of something new, something exciting – a project that fuels our passion for oak timber framing and drives us to bring our best, even when the conditions are less than ideal.
So, with our tools in hand and a vision in our hearts, we’re ready to transform challenges into opportunities. Here’s to the hard work, the shared laughs amidst the struggle, and the beautiful structures we’re yet to create.
Stay tuned for updates on our latest project – it promises to be a testament to the beauty of oak and the unwavering spirit of our team. Let’s make something extraordinary together.
Get ready for summer days and evenings sat under one of our oak framed pergolas sipping on a glass of your favorite tipple.
We design and manufacture an array of garden structures, from elegant oak pergolas to canopied walkways, verandas, and arbors. All made from solid oak, using traditional methods with mortice and tenon joints held in place with handcrafted oak pegs.
Our pergolas are available in several shapes and sizes especially designed around your needs and the space available to you.
Please call us for more information or to discuss your needs. Alternatively, you can complete the contact form and we will get in touch with you.

We are currently working on a slightly different project. This is a modern design oak framed pergola using stainless steel brackets and post bases. The oak beams have been planed all round to give a smooth finish and a modern aesthetic. It is personal choice to have either planed smooth beams which give a more contemporary look or to use natural cut beams. Each give a different feel to the finished oak frame. Stainless steel is used to stop any staining of the oak. The beams are all laid out in the workshop having the brackets attached ready for installation next week.
